Toner You Must Try!

Toner used to feel like an extra step I could skip, but at some point I realized it actually changes how everything else sits on my skin.
It’s that in-between moment—right after cleansing—where your skin is either left feeling tight or quietly prepared for what comes next.
After trying a few, these three stood out to me in very different ways.

1. Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Tea-Trica Purifying Toner

This one feels like a sigh of relief for the skin. The first time I used it, I noticed how calm everything felt afterward, especially on days when my skin was acting up for no clear reason. It has a very light, watery texture, almost like it disappears the moment it touches your face, but somehow leaves a subtle softness behind. I reach for this when I don’t want to think too much—when I just want something reliable and soothing without any drama.

2. Whitelab BHA Mugwort Tea Tree Toner

This toner feels more purposeful, like it knows exactly what it’s trying to do. On days when my skin looks a bit congested or uneven, this is the one I pick. There’s a slight fresh, herbal scent that gives it a clean impression. It doesn’t feel harsh, but you can tell it’s working in a different way compared to gentler toners. I usually don’t overuse it—just enough to keep things balanced. It’s the kind of product I keep around for those “something’s off” skin days.

3. Beauty Of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water

This one sits somewhere between a toner and something more substantial. The texture is still light, but there’s a hint of body to it, like it’s doing a bit more than just refreshing the skin. I like using it when I want my routine to feel a little more intentional, especially in the evening. There’s something about it that makes my skin feel quietly cared for, not just prepped. It doesn’t rush—it lingers in a good way.
In the end, I don’t think there’s a single “best” toner here. Each one fits a different mood, a different skin condition, even a different time of day. Some mornings call for something calming and simple, while other days need a bit more attention. And sometimes, it’s nice to choose based on how you want your routine to feel, not just what your skin needs.
