These two foundations are proof that a higher price doesn’t always mean a favorite. I genuinely love both of them for different reasons.

1. NARS Foundation

When the shade matched my skin, NARS quickly became one of those foundations I looked forward to applying. The finish looked beautiful and helped pull my whole makeup look together without making the base feel like the main event. My skin tone has become a little lighter recently, so my current shade no longer works for me, but that doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the formula when the match was right.

2. Maybelline Foundation

Maybelline has surprised me in the best way. Even during the time when my NARS shade matched perfectly, I still found myself reaching for this foundation because I genuinely liked the way it looked on my skin. It gives me an easy everyday base and has become one of those products I can grab without overthinking my makeup.

I honestly enjoy both foundations, just for different reasons. NARS gave me that polished finish I loved when the shade was a perfect match, while Maybelline continues to be an easy favorite for everyday makeup. Sometimes the best foundation isn’t about the name on the bottle—it’s the one that makes getting ready feel effortless.
