Hair oil is one of those finishing steps that can make my hair look more polished with barely any effort. I usually focus on the mid-lengths and ends, especially when my hair feels dry or looks a little dull.
Olaplex, K18, and Crown Affair each bring a different feel to my hair-care routine.
1. Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Hair Oil
Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Hair Oil is a lightweight option that works nicely when I want to finish my styling routine without adding a heavy layer. I use a small amount through the lengths and ends, where my hair tends to need the most attention. The oil helps give the strands a smoother, shinier appearance and works well before or after styling. A little goes a long way, so I prefer starting with less and adding more only when needed.
2. K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil
K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil stands out because it combines a lightweight oil texture with the brand’s molecular repair approach. It fits naturally into my routine when my hair has been exposed to frequent styling and needs extra care. I like working a small amount through damp or dry lengths, paying particular attention to the ends. The finish feels polished without turning my hair-care routine into a complicated process.
3. Crown Affair The Oil
Crown Affair The Oil has a more luxurious, finishing-product feel. The texture makes it easy to smooth over the ends when I want my hair to look softer and more refined. I especially enjoy using it after styling because it adds that final touch of shine and helps tame little flyaways. The elegant presentation also makes it feel like a special part of my routine rather than just another hair product.
All three oils have a slightly different personality. Olaplex is my lightweight everyday option, K18 brings a repair-focused approach, and Crown Affair gives me that polished finishing touch. I’d keep the application light with any hair oil, concentrating on the lengths and ends rather than overwhelming the roots.
