Two Oils, Two Finishes

Hair oils can look very similar in the bottle, but they do not always behave the same way once you start using them.
These two are a good example: one feels more luxurious and versatile, while the other is clearly made for polished, smooth-looking hair.

For A Richer Beauty Ritual

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is the kind of product I reach for when I want something that feels a little more indulgent. It is a dry multi-purpose oil designed for the face, body, and hair, so I like it most as an all-round finishing product rather than something reserved only for my ends.
On hair, I would use a small amount through the mid-lengths and ends to add softness and shine, especially when my hair feels dry or looks dull. Because it is a richer, scented beauty oil, I personally prefer using it sparingly — a little goes a long way, particularly on finer hair.
What I enjoy about this type of formula is the versatility. I can smooth a touch over dry ends, then use whatever remains on my hands over the body. It feels more like part of a complete beauty ritual than a purely practical styling step.

For Sleek, Glossy Hair

Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil is much more of a dedicated hair product, and this is the one I would pick when I want a polished finish without adding too much weight.
The texture is lightweight, so I find this type of oil especially useful after styling. A few drops through the ends help make the hair look smoother, glossier, and more put together. It is also designed to help control frizz and provide heat protection, which makes it practical before using heated styling tools.
I would definitely start with a very small amount and build slowly. With concentrated hair oils, adding more is easy; removing too much product from freshly styled hair is not.

Which One Would I Pick?

For me, Nuxe is the more sensorial option — something I would choose when I want one beautiful oil for several areas of my routine. Olaplex feels more targeted and functional, especially when my main goal is smooth, shiny hair with a lightweight finish.
If your hair is very fine, I would start with the smallest possible amount of either. If it is dry, thick, or prone to frizz, you can usually afford to be a little more generous. The best result comes from treating hair oil as a finishing touch, not something that should completely coat the strands.
